Abstract
The input of material at the surface of soils results in the developme nt of abnormal (according to V.V. Dokuchaev) soils. The slow rate of t his process favors for intensive humus accumulation in added material and for formation of deep-humus soils. Catastrophic burying of soils c auses the formation of humusless layers within a soil profile. Reworki ng of geological deposits by a pedogenic process can be defined as ped olysis, i.e., the impact of developed soil on geological substratum.
