Abstract
Ratios between empirical parameters that provide a minimum set of inde xes to substantiate the ecological safety of projects are proposed. Th ese methods were applied during construction of the Nyuksenitsa-Arkhan gel'sk gas pipeline. Different ecological consequences connected with building linear engineering structures-roads, pipelines, etc.-are cons idered.
