Abstract
Natural regularities in the spatial heterogeneity of soil salinization in alkali soil complexes are considered, as well as their role in gen etic and meliorative soil science. Statistically significant similarit ies and differences in the spatial heterogeneity of soluble salts, car bonates, and gypsum content in soil profiles of southern and northern areas of the Caspian Lowland are demonstrated.
