Abstract
A model experiment to study interactions between acid precipitation an d loamy podzolic soils under forest vegetation was carried out in the field. It is shown that under the impact of acid solutions, water-solu ble and exchangeable Mg and Ca ate accumulated within the upper soil l ayer (L + F + H + A1A2 + A2). This may be explained by the fact that w eakly soluble compounds of Mg and Ca become more mobile, being transfo rmed into water-soluble and exchangeable forms under the effect of aci ds.
