Abstract
New developments in information technology and logistics practices are comb ining to offset traditional barriers to developing truly global business st rategies. This article elaborates on these developments, provides a framewo rk for understanding the scope and magnitude of global logistics, and prese nts a method for estimating heretofore unavailable global logistics expendi tures.(1)
