Abstract
Interaction between plants and soil is considered. It is shown that ro ot exudates of plants accelerate transformation of soil nutrients. Act ivities of extracellular enzymes within the rhizosphere depend not onl y on the rate of root exudates, but also on the organic products appli ed to soil. Nitrogen of root exudates was found in all fractions of or ganic matter and microbial biomass.
