Abstract
Equations and a mechanism responsible for thermal and water conductivi ty in swelling soils are suggested. Specific features of water transfe r and water phases in peaty soil samples differentiated by moisture co ntent, density, average temperature, and temperature gradient were stu died using radioactive isotopes. Kinetics of heat and water transfer w as studied in soil columns by gamma spectroscopy.
