Abstract
Actinomyces were found to be regularly distributed along the vertical structure of forest biomes. Lower layers of litter (F and H) and upper mineral soil horizons are the main habitats of actinomyces in forest biogeocoenoses. A gradual decrease in the density of actinomyces is ob served down the soil profile. Streptomyces, identified on the sodium p ropionate medium, are abundant in all layers of forest ecosystems. Mic romonospora species are restricted to the moss layer in spruce forests and to the lower part of Litter in all forest biomes. Streptosporangi um species are restricted to mineral soil horizons and represent the m inor component of actinomyces communities in forest ecosystems.
