Ai. Gogolev et al., TRANSFORMATION OF CLAY-MINERALS IN SOILS WITH THE TEXTURALLY-DIFFERENTIATED PROFILE, Eurasian soil science, 29(11), 1996, pp. 1274-1282
Three different types of texturally-differentiated soils (gley solod,
podbel (Planosol), and pod-zolized red ferrallitic soil) are character
ized by the development of the processes of clay peptization in the ho
rizon A2B and lessivage. The destruction of clay minerals is more evid
ently revealed in the acid soils (podbel and podzolized red ferralliti
c). In the solod, soil material is enriched in illite throughout the w
hole profile and clay minerals are very finely dispersed.
