Abstract
Optical transmittivity in the UV-VIS region of thermally evaporated amorpho us As2S3, and As2Se3 thin films was measured in the temperature region 15 K < T less than or equal to 300 K. The temperature dependence of the optical gap (E-g(T)) was found to be in agreement with Fan's one-phonon approximat ion or with Cody's one-oscillator model. The parameters necessary to descri be the E-g(T) dependences for non-crystalline Se, As2S3, As2Se3, GeS2 and G eSe2, according to a simple linear relation, Varshni's relation, and Fan's or Cody's model are summarized.
