Abstract
The first synthesis of optically active tetraoxa-cage compounds has been ac complished by using (-)-camphanic chloride as a resolving reagent in a shor t sequence. The synthesis of the tetraoxa-cages with different functional g roups on the side chain was also demonstrated.
