Abstract
Optically induced second harmonic generation in lead-phosphate glasses has
been observed. The efficiency of conversion to second harmonic in lead-phos
phate glasses was of the same order of magnitude as in lead-silicate glasse
s. Growth and decay of second harmonic generation in silicate and phosphate
glasses of analogous compositions have been studied. (C) 2000 Elsevier Sci
