Abstract
The kinetics of ensembles of two-level quantum systems coupled to a heath b ath is traditionally described by kinetic or phenomenological equations for the density matrix. A novel class of models is proposed, based on distribu tion functions in the space of states. The time dependence of the state of the ensemble is described by kinetic equations for these functions.
