Abstract
Experimental investigations of coherently controlling molecular dynamics ar e currently hampered by the lack of high intensity, mid-infrared laser sour ces. This paper describes our approach to generating short pulse, high ener gy mid-infrared laser pulses. The laser will be used to investigate chirped dissociation of molecules.
