K. Ueda et al., Nuclear motion and symmetry breaking of core-excited polyatomic molecules - Anisotropic fragmentation of CF4 following F 1s photoabsorption, AIP CONF PR, 500, 2000, pp. 223-227
Angle-resolved ion yield spectroscopy revealed that ionic fragmentation of
a T-d symmetry molecule CF4 is anisotropic following F 1s photoabsorption.
The nuclear motion in the Anger-final state resulting in this anisotropic f
ragmentation is a consequence of asymmetric nuclear motion or symmetry brea
king in the core-excited state, caused by vibronic coupling.
