Benzene content in gasoline can be reduced by splitting the reformate into
light and heavy reformate and than blending the low-boiling fraction with t
he high aromatic reformer which is produced to obtain aromatic hydrocarbons
in industrial scale. On the basis of the study it was find out that 30% vo
l. of low boiling fraction (T less than or equal to 100 degrees C) does not
affect the aromatic extraction process. The extraction process was run by
a single-stage method at temp. 60 degrees C, feed: solvent ratio 1:4; the s
olvent bring NMP and MEG at a weight ratio of 60 to 40. Parameters are simi
lar to those of the Aromatic Extraction Process in Polish Petrol Concern S.
A. Plock. For comparison the experiments with the high aromatic reformer we
re carried out.
