Abstract
Adsorption-desorption of diethylamine salicylate on latex particles have be en studied. Time, pH, concentration and electrokinetic characteristics of t he active principle at which maximum absorption occurred were determined. D esorption of the drug from latex polymer particles was studied in three dif ferent vehicles. The findings suggest that solubility of diethylamine salic ylate is the main factor affecting release of the drug from the excipients tested. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
