M. Ben Ali et al., Sensitive cyclodextrin-polysiloxane gel membrane on EIS structure and ISFET for heavy metal ion detection, SENS ACTU-B, 62(3), 2000, pp. 233-237
Cylodextrin (CD)-polysiloxane gel matrices are used to functionalize EIS (E
lectrolyte Insulator Semiconductor structure) and ISFET (Ion-Sensitive Fiel
d Transistor) devices. Electrochemical measurements were made to study the
sensitivity and the selectivity of this sensitive membrane towards heavy me
tal ions. For both structures, a Nernstian response and good detection limi
t of an alpha CD gel membrane towards Cd2+ ion and for a beta CD towards Pb
2+ ion were obtained. The selectivity with respect to other cations are giv
en through the potentiometric selectivity coefficients (K-ij) (C) 2000 Else
