Abstract
We report the results of polarized magneto-photoluminescence (MPL) measurem ents on a high mobility modulation-doped GaAs/AlGaAs single quantum well. T he magnetic field was varied between 0 and 60 T. The appearance of a double t structure in the heavy-hole magneto-exciton in the high field regime was interpreted as an indication for enhanced electron-hole exchange interactio n induced by the confinement. The effective g-factor of the electron determ ined from the Zeeman splitting was 3.7 times higher than the bulk value. (C ) 2000 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd. ALI rights reserved.
