M. Hanack et al., Synthesis and properties of axially disubstituted monomeric and oligomericphthalocyaninato ruthenium(II) compounds, SYNTH METAL, 110(2), 2000, pp. 93-103
Phthalocyaninato ruthenium(II) has been complexed bisaxially with substitut
ed and unsubstituted p-diisocyanobenzenes (dib) to form oligomers that are
characterized spectroscopically. Their electrical conductivities lie in the
low semiconducting range and the substituents on the bridging ligands have
been found to considerably lower the electrical conductivity. A general sy
nthesis for peripherally substituted phthalocyanines has been developed. Th
e bisaxially coordinated substituted phthalocyaninato ruthenium(II) compoun
ds prepared have been found to be soluble in common organic solvents enabli
ng easy characterization of the materials. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science S.A. A
