Abstract
Self-oscillatory effects were observed during continuous field-induced deso rption of alkali metals (K, Cs) from a gold-coated tungsten surface. The su bstrate surface images in alkali metal ions, reflecting various stages of t he desorption process, were obtained using a field-ion microscope. (C) 2000 MAIK "Nauka / Interperiodica".
