Abstract
A new route towards the preparation of enantiomerically pure quaternary ser ine esters is described. The key step involves the diastereoselective funct ionalization of an oxazolidine ester enolate having an exocyclic chiral app endage. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
