The magnetic properties of Na3M2Li3F12, where M is trivalent Ti, Cr, a
nd Fe, have been measured from 10 mK to 300 K. Magnetic exchange is we
ak, consistent with ionic bonding. Splitting parameters are derived fo
r the low-lying states of the Ti3+ ion. The susceptibilities are consi
stent with antiferromagnetic order at low temperature in all three cas
es. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
