Abstract
Communication: Patterning of bioligands and proteins onto surfaces has impo rtant applications in tissue engineering and biosensor fabrication, but unt il now the best results have utilized organic films on gold. These authors present a new method (MAPS), and demonstrate its use by micropatterning a b iotin ligand onto the widely used biomaterial poly(ethylene terephthalate), shown in the Figure.
