Abstract
A study of daily realized fecundity revealed a maximum oviposition during t he eight first days of life for P. fletcheri but no significant effect of f emale age on progeny production was found out for D. tryoni. We observed a circadian rhythmicity of oviposition for both species with a peak of ovipos ition around sunrise and secondarily before sunset. This study permitted to found out optimal female age and period of the day for oviposition, which will be usefull for further host searching behaviour studies.
