Abstract
Forensic entomology is the study of the relationships between the presence of insects and the decomposition process of corpses. This discipline has pr oven very helpful in the field of criminal investigation. The key aspects a re the determination of post-mortem interval in corpses in an advanced stat e of putrefaction or that have undergone mutilation or other manipulation. The purpose of this article is to outline the findings of six years of stud y and analysis, which are supported by more than 200 documents in all Frenc h national departments and overseas.
