Extra-thoracic findings on the venous phase of combined computed tomographic venography and pulmonary angiography

A growing consensus is that pulmonary embolism and thrombosis represent dif ferent aspects of the same disease, and a single study that accurately defi nes both pulmonary emboli and deep venous thrombosis would be a desirable e xamination. The purpose of this pictorial review is to demonstrate the extr a-thoracic findings on the venous phase of such a study, which combines com puted tomographic venography and pulmonary angiography.
