Abstract
In the present paper the influence of notch radius on fracture toughness J( IC) is studied using three point bending specimens made from mild steel. Th is study is principally based on the proportionality between the energy par ameter J and the work done. In the present work, we considered the influenc e of notch radius on the coefficient of proportionality. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
