Abstract
Some computational aspects of the Discontinuous Deformation Analysis (DDA) modelling framework as applied to the modelling of concrete fracturing are discussed. In particular, the ability of DDA to model concrete behaviour th rough the entire range of fracture evolution from continuum to discontinuum is considered. Related topics including displacement controlled DDA analys is and the monitoring of progressive failure via eigenvalue analysis are al so presented. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd.
