Abstract
The legend of the 1 : 2.5 M Soil Map of the Soviet Union is the basis for t he integrated soil informational space of the FSU countries. Its correlatio n with the system used by the UN Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) m akes it possible to relate it to soil nomenclature of other countries and t o international standards of soil data interpretation.
