Abstract
A redescription of Mesocyclops pehpeiensis Hu, 1943 is given based on the a uthor's collection from Caohai lake in Guizhou province, China, July 1997. This species was also obtained from Zhenzhuquan lake in Nanjing, Jiangsu pr ovince, China, August 1995. A comparison with the original descriptions of M. pehpeiensis and Mesocyclops ruttneri Kiefer, 1981 is made. M. ruttneri K iefer, 1981 is synonymyzed with M. pehpeiensis Hu, 1943.
