This article documents the experience of Catholic Relief Services through i
ts Community-Based Primary Health Care Program (CBPHCP) in Battambang, Camb
odia, in the development of structures and systems of community and health
centre co-management/co-financing. The article discusses the role of commun
ity health structures in the development of these systems and the relations
hip between health centre quality of service and community financing. Final
ly, future plans for expansion, challenges, and lessons learned from this p
rocess are presented.
