Abstract
This paper proposes a new extended decision-directed decision-estimated pha se recovery algorithm based on maximum likelihood parameter estimation for OQPSK (Offset QPSK). In this scheme, comparing to conventional one, the dat a dependent noise of phase recovery loop is reduced by inserting the filter with 2 taps to inphase and quadrature channel respectively before the phas e detector. Proposed scheme is compared to the conventional QPSK scheme in aspect to BER(Bit Error Rate) and phase en or for roll-off factors of baseb and filter. output backoffs of nonlinear satellite channel, and loop bandwi dth.
