Abstract
Implementation of and preliminary experience with an ultra-fast partial-Fou rier radiofrequency (RF) spoiled gradient-echo sequence for gadolinium-enha nced imaging are presented. Three-dimensional angiograms can be acquired in less than 6 seconds. Repetition of the acquisition allows the three-dimens ional. visualization of several distinct vascular phases. Feasibility is de monstrated in three healthy volunteers. The trade-offs among spatial resolu tion, temporal resolution, and spatial coverage as well as the technical as pects of gadolinium-enhanced pulse sequences are discussed. (C) 2000 Wiley- Liss.
