M. Vilano et R. Rubio, Liquid chromatography-UV irradiation-hydride generation-atomic fluorescence spectrometry for selenium speciation, J ANAL ATOM, 15(2), 2000, pp. 177-180
The coupled technique liquid chromatography-UV irradiation-hydride generati
on-atomic fluorescence spectrometry (LC-UV-HG-AFS) is proposed for selenite
, selenate, selenocystine (SeCys) and selenomethionine (SeMet) determinatio
n. Separation was performed by using an anionic exchange column and a phosp
hate buffer as the mobile phase. Hydride generation and UV irradiation were
optimised. The detection limits obtained permitted the determination of th
e four species;at trace level concentrations. The method was validated by a
nalysing two water certified reference materials, in which only selenite wa
s detected.
