The Simmen classification of wrist destruction in rheumatoid arthritis - Experience in patients with early disease

In this radiological study, bilateral radiographs of the wrist in 48 patien ts with early rheumatoid arthritis (RA) were graded by the Simmen classific ation, at different times, Co;determine its potential use in early disease, Interobserver agreement,vas good. The Simmen classification of wrist destr uction in RA could be applied to the radiographs of approximately 50% of pa tients with early disease. It has some consistency over time.
