Abstract
The economic pressures from alternative processes, international competitio n and government regulation have made precision hot forging an attractive o ption for the forging industry. The forging process is exceedingly complex with many variables. However, new tools have made it possible to simulate a nd control the forging process to a degree not thought possible in the past .
