Abstract
Visible-light irradiation of CpFe(CO)(2)I with 5,5-diethyl-, 5-ethyl-5-phen yl- and 5-ethyl-5-(1-cyclohexenyl)barbiturate in the presence of diisopropy lamine brings about formation of mono- and bis-CpFe(CO)(2) complexes of bar biturate anions in moderate yields.
