Abstract
Santessoniella rugosa Henssen & Kantvilas is described from south-west Tasm ania. The granulose to subfruticose thallus is strongly gelatinous, compose d of terete, wrinkled lobes, and bears numerous small, orange apothecia. Th e species differs from other members of the genus in details of external an d internal thallus morphology. (C) 2000 The British Lichen Society.
