Abstract
The diversa species group of the genus Phyllopertha Stephens is establ ished. It includes two east Asian species, P. taiwana, new species, ba sed on specimens from Taiwan, and P. diversa Waterhouse. Both species are described, illustrated and compared. The Korean P. diversa koreana Ohaus, is listed as a new synonym of P. diversa. A hypothesis on the biogeography of the diversa species group is presented.
