Abstract
Sclerotinia nivalis causing lettuce drop was found in central China. It was identified on the basis ol: comparisons of morphological features, cultura l characteristics and sclerotial proteins with those of S. sclerotiorum, S. trifoliorum S. minor and S. nivalis, This is the first report of S, nivali s in China and lettuce is a new host for this pathogen.
