M. Strikman, QCD factorization theorems for DIS exclusive processes and inclusive diffraction: New probes of hadrons and nuclei, NUCL PHYS A, 663, 2000, pp. 64C-73C
We review applications of the QCD factorization theorems for diffractive DI
S processes. We argue that DIS exclusive processes provide a number of effe
ctive ways of probing light-cone mason wave functions, and comparing wave f
unctions of various baryons. Connection between the factorization theorem f
or hard inclusive diffraction processes in DIS and phenomenon of nuclear sh
adowing is explained. Strong nuclear shadowing is predicted as well as exis
tence of high energy color transparency at x similar to 10(-2) followed by
the color opacity for x less than or equal to 10(-3).
