Abstract
We determine the covariant heavy meson wave function variationally by minim izing the binding energy <(Lambda)over bar>. Subsequently the other HQET pa rameters lambda(1) and lambda(2), and the heavy quark masses m(b) and m(c) can also be self-consistently determined.
