Divertor plasma radiation due to intrinsic impurities is investigated using
a one dimensional (1D) fluid model. The impurities are generated at the di
vertor plate by chemical and physical sputtering with yields depending on t
he energy of the incoming particle Bur. With an increase in the heating pow
er, the fraction of radiated power increases if the dependence of the impur
ity yield on the plasma temperature is sufficiently large. In this case, th
e range of parameters where attached radiating regimes exist is the largest
. However, the self adjustment of the radiation set by intrinsic impurities
is shown to be prohibitive in terms of erosion.
