Abstract
Mesenteric panniculitis is a rare disease of the adipose tissue of mesenter y. Ascites is an unusual presentation. We report a case of panniculitis who se initial presentation was an obesity-hypoventilation syndrome with pulmon ary hypertension. Respiratory disorders were related to abundant ascites. P anniculitis cure and ascites disappearance allowed return to normal pulmona ry function and pulmonary artery pressure.
