Abstract
Stabilization of chemical bonds on transition of sodium, iron(II, III), and copper(I, II) chlorides and tungsten(II, IV, VI) oxides from crystalline s tate to vapor is the more prominent, the stronger their crystal lattice and the simpler composition of the molecule. Stabilization is most pronounced in the case when sublimation yields polymeric molecules. A comparative stud y of the polymerization of hydrogen fluoride and water molecules in the vap or is made.
