Abstract
Unsaturated beta-diketones with CH3, CF3, and C6H5 groups were synthesized by condensation of unsaturated esters with ketones. The fraction of the eno l form of beta-diketones was determined and their radical homo- and copolym erization reactions were studied. Styrene and methyl methacrylate copolymer s containing beta-dicarbonyl fragments were prepared, which can be used as highly efficient reagents for luminescence determination of europium.
