Synthesis of zinc meso-tetraphenyltetrabenzoporphine on the basis of dithiophthalimide

The utility of dithiophthalimide as the starting material for synthesis of zinc mezo-tetraphenyltetrabenzoporphine was demonstrated. The synthesis wit h dithiophthalimide occurs at a lower temperature and provides a much highe r yield of the target product.
