Abstract
Alkylthio(chloro)acetylenes react with tertiary phosphines in diethyl ether at room temperature to form equilibrium mixtures of the corresponding alky lthioethynylphosphonium chlorides and 2-phosphorane diylethenylidenesulfoni um chlorides.
