Abstract
The application of metaregression analysis models for the purpose of benefi t transfer is investigated using in-sample convergent validity tests on ave rage value transfers. The database on which the metaregression analysis mod els are developed is composed of empirical outdoor recreation use value stu dies conducted from 1967 through 1998. Results of the convergent validity t ests suggest that the national model is slightly more robust to changes in application than the Census Region models. The results suggest that the app lication of mete-analysis for benefit transfers is promising considering li mitations imposed by inconsistent data reporting of original studies.
